Today, both Toledo Jr/Sr and Toledo Elementary reported a very high absence rate. This rate may be due to a number of reasons but many of the absences are being reported as illness. The current absence rate is greater than 10% for both students and staff and this rate of absence is not conducive to productive levels of learning. 

Due to this absence rate we have determined that we need to close both schools on Tuesday Nov 22, 2022. There will be NO SCHOOL tomorrow at both Toledo Jr/Sr and Toledo Elementary. We have determined that no staff will be at the buildings so that they can be thoroughly cleaned during the closure and ready for students and staff on Monday Nov 28, 2022. 

We are sorry for the inconvenience this may cause. We do not make this decision lightly as we know that not all families will have an easy answer to finding childcare. We do believe this is the right decision at this time for the health of both students and staff.

Hoy, tanto Toledo Jr/Sr como Toledo Elementary reportaron una tasa de ausencia muy alta. Esta tasa puede deberse a varias razones, pero muchas de las ausencias se informan como enfermedad. La tasa de ausencia actual es superior al 10% tanto para los estudiantes como para el personal y esta tasa de ausencia no conduce a niveles productivos de aprendizaje.

Debido a este índice de ausencia, hemos determinado que debemos cerrar ambas escuelas el martes 22 de noviembre de 2022. NO HABRÁ CLASES mañana en Toledo Jr/Sr y Toledo Elementary. Hemos determinado que no habrá personal en los edificios para que puedan limpiarse a fondo durante el cierre y estar listos para los estudiantes y el personal el lunes 28 de noviembre de 2022.

Lamentamos las molestias que esto pueda causar. No tomamos esta decisión a la ligera porque sabemos que no todas las familias tendrán una respuesta fácil para encontrar cuidado de niños. Creemos que esta es la decisión correcta en este momento para la salud de los estudiantes y el personal.
