Baby Boomers Preschool at Toledo
LCSD prioritizes Early Learning and is striving for high quality early childhood education, and aligning this work with elementary school partners. Our teaching teams work together on Kindergarten Readiness, ensuring that our preschoolers are prepared for the next step in their educational career.
While building and district communication happens through the Remind App, our early learning teachers use Learning Genie. This platform will be used for attendance as well as family communication and assessments.
Preschool Promise, which is a state funded model for families who are income eligible, based on the table below, provides 9 free slots in this program. The Preschool Promise grant requires the district to offer a full day, no less than 6 hours/day, 4 days/week, 900 hours/year.
Your Lead Teacher will be developing assessments to share at parent conferences, showing your child’s growth in the classroom, gross motor development and social – emotional skills. We will start prioritizing attendance in these classrooms as well in order to better prepare for all-day Kindergarten. Preschool hours are 8:00-3:00.
Extended care will be available (if slots are available) in the morning, starting at 7:45 and ending at 4:00. These schedules need to be created and turned in before the first of each month, and will be billed then, along with preschool tuition, if applicable.
