An amazing 8 Lincoln County School District varsity teams were commended as Academic All-State teams for the fall season!

The Oregon Student Activities Association recently released the Academic All-State for fall season which includes football, volleyball, boys and girls soccer, boys and girls cross country. All six of the Newport High School teams were above 3.0 GPA making the list. Girls soccer placed 3rd with a 3.82 GPA, boys Cross country also placed 3rd with a 3.90 GPA and Newport girls Ccoss country placed 1st with a 3.95 GPA!

Other Lincoln County School teams that made the 3.0+ list include Toledo Volleyball and Waldport Boys Cross Country which came in 7th. Congratulations to these awesome student athletes!

About This Award

The OnPoint Community Credit Union Academic All-State Program recognizes outstanding achievement in the classroom. The boys and girls team in each OSAA-sanctioned activity with the highest team grade point average earns the Academic All-State Award. Each member of a winning team receives a commemorative decal and a certificate. The school receives a plaque in honor of its team. Members of top ten schools in each activity at each classification are also recognized.
