Lincoln County School District’s 2024 College/Career Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 23 from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. for students and potentially 4 to 7 p.m. for families. There will be a lunch break and lunch will be provided. This event will be held at Newport High School at 322 NE Eads St. Schools from the surrounding areas including Toledo, Waldport, Taft, Siletz and Eddyville will be joining us for this event. We plan to serve over 1,000 students.
This will be the 10th year Lincoln County School District has hosted this event and we are hopeful it will be the best one yet! We want to continue to grow this day by providing even more post-secondary options for our students to explore. This college/career fair is an excellent opportunity for you to meet specifically with Lincoln County junior and senior students. Also, every high school in LCSD will be participating in College Application Week following this college fair. Our students are prepared and eagerly looking for the right college to attend and/or exploring other post secondary opportunities. This event is a perfect time to create excitement and awareness about your college or career opportunity.
We are passionate about including technical programs and career opportunities. We hope that apprenticeships, trades and other entities will join us. We want students and families to know that there are many post secondary options available.
We will provide a table for each attendee for displays. Additional accommodations can be made if requested. We also ask that you bring some of your “school/business swag” to donate for our giveaways. La Feria de Colegio/Carrera 2024 del Distrito Escolar del Condado de Lincoln será el miércoles, 23 de octubre de 9 a.m. a 2 p.m. para estudiantes y potencialmente de 4 a 7 p.m. para familias. Esta feria de colegio/carrera es una oportunidad excelente para conocer específicamente a estudiantes junior y senior del Condado de Lincoln. También, cada escuela secundaria en LCSD estará participando en la Semana de Aplicación Universitaria después de esta feria universitaria. Nuestros estudiantes están preparados y ansiosos buscando la universidad correcta para asistir y/o explorando otras oportunidades post secundarias. Este evento es un momento perfecto para crear entusiasmo y conciencia acerca de su universidad u oportunidad de carrera.
Nos apasiona incluir programas técnicos y oportunidades de carrera. Esperamos que aprendizajes, oficios y otras entidades se unan a nosotros. Queremos que los estudiantes y las familias sepan que hay muchas opciones post-secundarias disponibles.
Proporcionaremos una mesa para cada asistente para exhibiciones. Se pueden hacer acomodaciones adicionales si se solicita. También le pedimos que traiga algo de su «swag escuela / empresa» para donar a nuestros regalos.
