LCSD proudly recognized longtime District volunteer Alma Simon for the 2023/24 Tom Moore Memorial Award! Alma has volunteered over 200 hours to Crestview Heights Elementary School this past school year!

In her nomination letter, CVH Principal Sandi Battles noted Alma’s many contributions from assisting in the office, to answering phones and creating bulletin boards that celebrate student achievements. “Alma’s positive attitude, strong work ethic, and unwavering support make her a deserving candidate for the Tom Moore Memorial Award,” Battles wrote.

The Tom Moore Memorial Award is an annual honor given to  the individual who best exemplifies the volunteer spirit and give selflessly to the children in our community. Congratulations Alma!

LCSD se enorgullece en reconocer a Alma Simon, voluntaria del Distrito desde hace mucho tiempo, por el Premio Tom Moore Memorial 2023/24. Alma ha ofrecido más de 200 horas a la Escuela Primaria Crestview Heights este año escolar pasado.

En su carta de nominación, la Directora de CVH Sandi Battles señaló las muchas contribuciones de Alma, desde ayudar en la oficina, hasta contestar teléfonos y crear tableros de anuncios que celebran los logros de los estudiantes. «La actitud positiva de Alma, su fuerte ética de trabajo y su apoyo inquebrantable la convierten en una candidata merecedora del Premio Tom Moore Memorial», escribió Battles.

El Premio Tom Moore Memorial es un honor anual otorgado a la persona que mejor ejemplifica el espíritu voluntario y dar desinteresadamente a los niños en nuestra comunidad. ¡Enhorabuena Alma!
