Posted on August 22, 2025

Linn Benton Lincoln Education Service District (LBLESD) announces an open seat on its Board of Directors representing Zone 7 (western Lincoln County), following the extraordinary service of David Dunsdon, who recently stepped down after an impressive 30 years of dedicated leadership.

“David’s three decades of service to LBLESD and our region’s schools are nothing short of remarkable,” said Jason Hay, LBLESD Superintendent. “His deep commitment, wisdom, and steady leadership have helped shape our agency and strengthened education for students and families across Lincoln County and beyond.”

LBLESD provides high-quality, cost-effective services and support to 12 component school districts and approximately 34,000 students in Linn, Benton, and Lincoln counties. Guided by a mission of service and collaboration, the agency delivers critical Tier 1 programs such as special education, technology infrastructure, school improvement, and student and family services. In partnership with local districts, LBLESD helps ensure equitable access to resources, expertise, and opportunities that might otherwise be beyond the reach of individual districts and schools.

The Board of Directors plays a vital role in overseeing the agency’s vision, policy, and budget, ensuring that LBLESD continues to meet the evolving needs of its communities with transparency and accountability.
