Dear Students, Parents/Guardians of Lincoln County School District,
As we near the end of the 2021-2022 academic school year, ODE and the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) are partnering to expand at-home COVID-19 testing for all children in Oregon’s public K-12 schools. Starting in May, LCSD will be distributing complimentary iHealth COVID-19 tests given to LCSD from the Oregon Health Authority. This distribution represents one strategy to increase access to testing resources in our school communities, especially as students head into the summer break during which they may no longer have access to testing at school.
LCSD will have enough tests to distribute one test kit (containing two tests) for each student. Students and their families are encouraged to use these tests if they develop symptoms consistent with COVID-19 or if they have had a known exposure to COVID-19. Please see the flyers (in English and in Spanish) to learn more about how to use the kits.
We are still trying to determine the best distribution strategies across elementary school, middle school, and high schools. How and when they are given out may vary, but they will be distributed by the end of the school year. You are not obligated to have a kit if you do not wish.

A medida que nos acercamos al final del año escolar académico 2021-2022, ODE y la Autoridad de Salud de Oregón (OHA) se están asociando para expandir las pruebas de COVID-19 en el hogar para todos los niños en las escuelas públicas K-12 de Oregón.
