Dear Lincoln County Families,

We are excited to welcome our students in the upcoming 2019-2020 school year. The Lincoln County School District is relentlessly committed to ensuring that all students learn the critical reading and thinking skills needed to be educated, healthy and resilient people that graduate with future options and the ability to achieve their dreams. This begins with our youngest students in kindergarten.

If you are the parent of a five year old, we are looking forward to their enrollment in Kindergarten. As you prepare for our August registration, we want to assure that you are aware that in compliance with Oregon Revised Statutes, a child entering school for the first time in kindergarten shall be five years old on or before September 1st. A child entering for the first time in first grade shall be six years old on or before September 1st. This is important to consider as you are deciding when to enroll your child for school.

Our staff is committed to empowering all students every day to realize their full potential for living the future life they imagine. We thank you for entrusting us with the education of your children and will see you in at registration in August.

Estamos muy contentos de dar la bienvenida a nuestros estudiantes el próximo año escolar 2019-2020. El Distrito Escolar del Condado Lincoln está incansablemente comprometido a garantizar que todos los estudiantes aprendan las habilidades de lectura y pensamientos críticos necesarios para ser personas educadas, sanas y resistentes que se gradúan con opciones futuras y la capacidad de alcanzar sus sueños. Si usted es padre de un niño de cinco años, esperamos su matrícula en el Jardín de la Infancia. Mientras se prepara para nuestra matricula en agosto, queremos asegurarnos que usted sepa que, en cumplimiento con los Estatutos Revisados de Oregón, un niño que ingresa a la escuela por primera vez en el jardín de infantes tendrá cinco años de edad el 1 de septiembre o antes.
