School Bond Project Update

Here's just a bit of what's happening around the district with our many school improvement projects...

The classroom wing/office/cafeteria addition at Toledo Elementary is moving along at a jackrabbit pace. The contractor will be ready to turn keys over to the school district at a special ceremony with ribbon-cutting, refreshments and tours of the new facility. The public is cordially invited, so please mark your calendars for 5:30 PM Tuesday, June 12, and plan to attend!

We broke ground on the new Waldport High School and are now undertaking a massive excavation project. We have BIG equipment making a BIG hole, which will be transformed into a modern new high school in just 17 months or so.

At Newport Prep Academy, the two new classrooms that will house our teen parent program and our school-based health clinic are really taking shape, with walls and roof going up.

Excavation is under way for the new classroom wing and commons at Toledo Junior/Senior High. This project began immediately after the new locker rooms and weight room were completed. Oh, and don't forget the gym expansion that's in the works, too!

Work is steadily progressing on the classroom/gymnasium addition at Oceanlake Elementary. It is looking mighty fine inside, and outside, too!

Taft 7-12 High will need to come up with a more appropriate name for "The Pit." This once scraggly ball field is now a delight!

You may view the financial reports, job site photos, and much more on the Bond Projects page, as well.

Thank you, Lincoln County Voters, for helping to make these school improvements possible!

If you wish to be added to the Bond Projects Update e-mailing list or have any questions or suggestions on how we communicate our progress, please send an e-mail to: Maryjo.Kerlin@lincoln.k12.or.us.
